While it's been a year of milestones for Simple Plan, charting in the UK and Europe and touring around the globe — and on both sides of the equator — Stinco had his own personal milestone in June, taking a break from the band to witness the birth of his second daughter with his girlfriend France Turgeon.
"It was strange. I was at home and I barely knew what to do with myself," he says of stepping aside from the whirlwind of Simple Plan for a few weeks. "Before the kid arrived I was always cleaning up the house, picking up papers, walking around everywhere; I was really nervous, I guess."
